Last Day in Tipperary

After our late night, we had a late start to the day. We spent time around Lough Derg and the cottage. In the afternoon, we went to the John Hanley Woolen Mills and did some shopping and made friends with an expat from SanFrancisco. For dinner, we went back to Terryglass to Paddy's and had fish & chips, sticky toffee pudding, and plenty of Guinness.

Paddy's!

This is the outside of a small shop near the pub. They specialize in up-cycled furniture and home goods.

After dinner, Dad and I went for a hike around the oak woods and to the lake. There were many trees that had been downed in recent storms, but the Kenny family had the paths cleared for our visit.

View of the lake. Somewhere down there are remnants of an ancient Crannog.

One last look - Oakwood cottage.

Our chariot for the week - Norman.

Our last night including a parting glass (or several) at the local Glue Pot. Five years ago, we decided Liam the publican needed a Packer football to offset the Eagles football he already had. We had each signed it. Liam displays it proudly behind the bar! When we talked about it, he pulled it down and walked around the bar, proudly showing it off!

Dad, old friend Liam, and new friend Mort.
