Sligo Mountain Drive

Our B&B for this night was a working dairy farm. We named the bull in the front lawn "Norman". He was later relocated further from guests.
A somewhat traditional Irish Breakfast (sans pudding) - scrambled eggs, roasted tomato, bacon, and potato cake.
Irish porridge. Mary, the proprietor at Ave Maria B&B in Sligo, is an award-winning cook and baker. Her trophies from national competitions decorated the dining room. We met two ladies from England that were on holiday in Ireland. They highly recommended the Titanic museum in Belfast.

Our group with Mary at the front entrance. The front door was locked and when we returned from the pub the night before, we had to buzz to be let in - she was waiting up for us!
Ben Bulben
Between the warning signs and memorials for those who fell off ledges, we were careful not to get too close!

Smiles on the beach!
View of Benbulben from the beach.
These sheep and their hundreds of neighboring cows and horses have a great view of Truskmore mountain in the Dartry Mountain range.
We made lots of friends today! These little guys have a great view of a castle from their pasture.

Rhododendrons grow as large as the trees in the woods. They're all in peak bloom right now!
Yellow flag - this wildflower grows everywhere!
Sheep in the road!! As we got closer, they jumped through the bushes back into their pasture.

Calla lilies grow as shrubs in residential flower beds.

Foxglove growing wild in the woods!

Our dinner spot: The Thatch in Crinkill.

Sunset from the cottage garden back at Fairymount.
